WHY WATER IS OUR FOCUS
Our children’s health is under threat.
Many studies show that children today are not drinking enough good quality fresh water. Without adequate hydration the brain cannot function properly, cannot focus, cannot concentrate and cannot remember. It is also documented in many studies that dehydration can lead to many diseases.
“When I am dehydrated I feel sick and get distracted easier and can’t concentrate.”

The human body is a miraculous feat of engineering. Yet, like any system, it has its limits. Today our childrens’ bodies are under siege from an onslaught of health challenges in quantities and combinations we have never before experienced.
These include deadly strains of micro-organisms, electromagnetic smog, radiation, genetically modified and chemically processed foods, polluted water and air ~ all of which, in combination or separately, undermind their potential for radiant good health.
We need to minimise their exposure to environmental toxins and help them cultivate wellness by making healthy lifestyle choices that keep their defenses strong.
The foundation to good health starts with drinking the right quantity of best quality water.
Water is required for every biological function of the body ~ circulation, assimilation, digestion, elimination, temperature control and even thought. Without water, even the best vitamins and minerals cannot be absorbed or made available for cellular processes and proper bodily function.
We need water as much as we need air. Yet it is easy to forget how completely we depend on it. And this fundamental understanding even gets missed on most Healthy Eating Guidelines for children and adolescents!
Water accounts for two thirds of our body weight, and every day we lose nearly 12 cups of it through normal bodily functions such as perspiration, removing wastes and even breathing.
Because our bodies have no water reserve system, we operate solely on the amount that has been made available by intake. Any water that’s in your child’s body is already engaged in an activity. Thinking, playing, eating, moving, exercising and studying are all examples of activities that need to be supported by a fresh intake of water.
So it is vital that we replace the water we lose. When we starve body cells of water, they start to complain and set up many adverse reactions.
That is why we are focused on introducing this program of fresh living water into our children’s classrooms and homes.
